Sonia Ragoopath
Regulatory Economist
Sonia Ragoopath is a Regulatory Economist with the GCRA. She joined the Authority in 2023. Sonia is an experienced economist and has worked in the utility regulation field for the past 7 years.
Since joining the GCRA, Sonia has been involved in various price control decisions and price control compliance for the telecoms market.
Sonia has published and presented her work with the Organization of Caribbean Utility Regulators (OOCUR) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of the West Indies as well as Master of Science Degree in Development Statistics also from the University of the West Indies.
