Licence fees

Regulation of the telecoms sector in the Channel Islands is funded through licence fees paid by telecoms licence holders.

Application Fee
A one off application fee is payable with all applications. Information about the application fee payable for a telecoms licence is available by contacting GCRA directly.

Annual Fee
Telecoms licence holders pay an annual fee over the term of the licence they hold. Guidelines for calculating licence fees are set out here.

Radio Spectrum Fee
If a telecoms licensee uses radio frequency spectrum to provide any part of its network, it may be necessary for the licensee to pay spectrum fees to Ofcom, the UK regulator responsible for allocating frequency spectrum in the Channel Islands. Information is available from the Ofcom website.
